Embrace – You are beautiful as you are!
“Learn to love yourself as you are!” is the core message of this documentary
Embrace – in German released as “Du bist schön wie Du bist!” (You are beautiful as you are!). In a documentary first released in 2016, Australian photographer, filmmaker and mother of three Taryn Brumfitt explains what it means to perceive and accept yourself. With great self-confidence, the photographer posted a before-and-after photo of her naked body on Facebook. What followed were emotional messages from women all over the world, telling of personal tragedies and crying out for help.
Taryn then decided to travel the world to find out why so many women, and even young girls, chase an ideal of beauty and are anything but content with themselves.
