Last delivery of oranges and tomatoes

Last delivery of oranges and tomatoes

We are about to reach the end of the 2021/2022 season

On Saturday, 11 June, we will send out the last oranges and tomatoes.

At present we are offering the last fresh oranges of the València Late variety. Even though this variety does not have the same quality as Navelina or Lanelate, it still tastes better than the oranges you can find in the supermarket. That is because they are fresh and not treated after harvest.

We are also sending out the last tomatoes of the season, fresh as always and of the RAF variety from El Perelló. Delicious! And if you would like to say goodbye to the season with a bit of everything, remember that we also offer mixed boxes with oranges and tomatoes.

Thank you for accompanying us again this season. See you again next autumn – with the best fresh oranges, as always!

The whole team thanks you for your orders.

Orangen frisch nach Hause (fresh oranges to your home)

Online sale of citrus fruit, oranges, organic oranges, mandarins, lemons and tomatoes of the best quality, freshly harvested and delivered to your home with free shipping

Why buy online?

Buying oranges and mandarins online has become a normal, simple and very practical process for many families. We invite you to join these families and try high-quality oranges and mandarins, freshly harvested and sent directly from the grove to your home, from producer to consumer, without any post-harvest treatment. Fresher, more natural and with full flavour and all the vitamins, just as we have enjoyed them in our homeland for more than two centuries, with all the sunshine of the Mediterranean. It is almost as if you came here in person and picked the fruit from the tree.

From Cullera and so sweet!

Our orange trees are located in the municipality of Cullera, in the riverside landscape of the Xúquer, about 40 km south of Valencia and right next to the L’Albufera nature park. And Valencian oranges have an excellent reputation throughout Europe for their good quality. We mainly grow the Navelina and Lanelate varieties, both from the navel orange family. They have a wonderful taste and very juicy flesh, making them ideal both for juice and as eating oranges. Both varieties keep for a very long time after harvest, in some cases for more than a month. At the end of the season we have the Valencia Late variety, which is the latest variety. Even though they are somewhat smaller, a little more acidic and a little less sweet, their freshness, ripening on the tree and immediate dispatch give them a quality that no other orange you can find in the supermarket at the same time has. In this way we can offer our customers delicious fresh oranges for much of the year.

Which citrus fruit should you choose, mandarins or clementines?

The term “mandarin” is a general trade term covering various families of small oranges, such as clementines, satsumas and hybrids. Clementines are highly prized and include many different varieties, each with its own nuance. They are sweet, juicy and easy to peel. The Clemenvilla itself is a hybrid of clementine and tangelo with an exceptional flavour.

The first fruits we offer each season from October are early clementines: Clemenrubí, Oronules, Esbal (or fine clementine) and Clemenules. These are followed by the Clemenvilla, our favourite fruit and a special variety that is not always easy to find in supermarkets. It is a delicacy with a long shelf life after harvest that accompanies us at Christmas and is a healthy and tasty treat for children. At the end of January we continue with late mandarins such as Hernandina, Moncada or Safor and other varieties, each harvested when it has reached the best point of ripeness – of course always freshly picked from the tree and without subsequent treatment.

What is our secret for such tasty and healthy oranges?

The wonderful taste of fresh oranges and mandarins without post-harvest treatment surprises everyone who has only tried oranges from the supermarket. To guarantee that the oranges are fresh, they are sent with a few leaves from the tree, which arrive fresh and prove that the oranges have not been kept in a cold store. In addition, we do not use any degreening methods: there are mandarin varieties that partly keep green skins when fully ripe. They are packed and dispatched on the same day as the harvest, and delivery takes place three to four days later, with the fruit retaining all its freshness. It is almost like owning your own orange grove. If you have ever tasted Valencian citrus fruit on site, you know what we are talking about.

Oranges with less ego and more eco

Our company is committed to sustainability, both in protecting the environment and in the way we run our business. Social justice is also important to us. That is why we have joined the Economy for the Common Good project. We do this with modesty and in the awareness that we can improve. For your information, we would like to publish the official report on our common good balance sheet, so that you know where we stand and what we can improve in order to contribute as a company to a better world.

We are also very pleased to be one of the few Valencian companies selling citrus fruit online to have received the certificate for the online sale of organic oranges and citrus fruit – duly marked on our website. This seal, valid throughout Europe, is the only official guarantee that these fruits are completely organic. If you share our view, you will certainly appreciate our commitment and the quality of our fruit, and you can be sure that their production follows certified protocols and contributes to the well-being of all – farmers, consumers and the environment.

Natural oranges and citrus fruit of abundant quality

Our products are delivered in reinforced recycled cartons in quantities of 10, 15 or 20 kilos. The 20-kilo delivery consists of two boxes of 10 kilos each, so it is very easy for you to share the fruit bought at an advantageous price with other people. We also offer mixed boxes with various combinations of oranges, mandarins and a portion of lemons. We are happy to help if you have any questions about shipping quantities or special shipments, e.g. as a gift for special occasions.

Shipping fresh oranges: fast, reliable and 100 % secure

At Orangen frisch nach Hause we do not have or receive access to any information about your credit card. To process orders, we use the secure Servired payment gateway (Visa and Mastercard). We also offer payment by PayPal, bank transfer or, on prior request, direct debit. And of course – as a contribution to your satisfaction – we have a customer service that resolves any kind of question or problem regarding your order in less than 24 hours on working days.

For years we have been pointing to direct shipping from Ruth Palomero’s plantation in València/ES.

Depending on the season, you can order oranges, mandarins, tomatoes or avocados there, independently of intermediaries, directly from their plantations and have them delivered to your home by parcel service. It (almost) doesn’t get fresher or more convenient. We have no financial benefit from orders. But we are happy to recommend it.
