Dried fruit as a new addition
As a new addition, we now offer dried oranges, dried blood oranges and dried lemons. We do this to make better use of fruit that cannot be sold fresh, whether because of a surplus, (too) small sizes or other reasons… This way it keeps for at least up to a year.
Anyone who has never tried an orange in this form is surprised by its taste, with its concentrated sweet aroma, and by its texture – and even eats the orange slice with the peel, because the bitterness it normally has disappears almost completely. These oranges taste refreshing and have a crunchy texture. The dried citrus fruits contain no colourings or preservatives; they are simply 100% citrus fruit.
We have mixed slices of three citrus fruits in a single bag: Lane Late table oranges, Sanguinelli blood oranges and, to a lesser extent, lemons, so that you can try all three. For the packaging we chose a paper bag and an organic film. It is completely biodegradable and compostable and keeps the citrus slices fresh in a suitable atmosphere.
At the moment this new product is only available as an option when buying one of our orange boxes. But it will soon be offered separately as well.
