Orange deliveries and COVID-19

The COVID-19 virus is not (yet) restricting our shipping.

There is no official restriction affecting our harvesting and home delivery service for oranges. That is why we at Orangen frisch nach Hause are continuing to harvest and ship our oranges according to the planned calendar.

As regards delivery, we would like to inform you about the following points, which may be of interest to you:

• At the moment the authorities of the various countries are making it easier to transport essential goods, especially food, both within countries and across their borders, in order to guarantee supplies to the population.

• In addition, DPD, the company that distributes our oranges in Germany and Austria, has asked us to pass on the following recommendation (we quote verbatim):

  Encourage your recipients to give us permission to leave their DPD parcels! This reduces points of contact, and together we can counter the further spread of the virus. It also gives you and your customers a little more security.

  If you wish, you can enter delivery instructions when ordering on our website, in the text field “Neuer Kommentar für den Auftrag” (new comment on the order). The message must not exceed 75 characters. Please try to be clear and precise, for example: “Leave the box in front of the door”. This is a recommendation from DPD. If you cannot or do not want to receive the parcel this way, you do not need to write a comment. Following the official instructions, our company has taken the necessary measures to minimise the risk of infection among our staff. Our team is healthy at the moment.

We would like to point you to direct shipping from Ruth Palomero’s orange plantation in València. There you can order oranges and mandarins directly from the farmer to your home, without any middlemen. It (almost) doesn’t get any fresher or more convenient. We gain nothing financially from orders. We are simply happy to recommend it.
