Our last fresh oranges

Our last fresh oranges

Ruth lets you know that she can now offer a new late variety.

Ruth PalomeroWe are pleased to let you know that we will extend the season by a few weeks by adding a new variety known as Valencia Late to our range.

It is a medium-sized to small orange, smaller than the Lane Late or the Navelina. It is a very late orange and does not reach the quality of its predecessors, but it still has a personality of its own, with its slight acidity and a great deal of juice.

For those who still feel like eating fresh oranges in spring, we think it is worth trying, because you will find it much better than the ones from the supermarket and because, as always, it is not treated after harvesting.

CHARACTERISTICS OF THE VALENCIA LATE VARIETY (German)

For logistical and organisational reasons, from now until the end of the season we will only ship on Mondays.

Remember that a glass of orange juice in the morning helps you, among other things:

  • to reduce the risk of a heart attack, because it contains flavonoids,
  • to lower your cholesterol levels,
  • to improve digestion,
  • to prevent colds.

In all likelihood we will be harvesting the Valencia Late until mid or late May. Why not give it a try!

This week a delegation from the town of Jever (Friesland), Cullera’s twin town, visited our town. The journalist Cornelia Lüers of the newspaper Jeversches Wochenblatt has published the following article about our oranges. We hope you enjoy it!

Thank you for buying our oranges! Best wishes,

We would like to point you to direct shipping from Ruth Palomero’s orange plantation in València. There you can order oranges and mandarins directly from the farmer to your home, without any middlemen. It (almost) doesn’t get any fresher or more convenient. We gain nothing financially from orders. We are simply happy to recommend it.
