Documentary on the shape of the Earth

Documentary on the shape of the Earth

Scientists at Dakila Pesquisas have released a documentary that is meant to prove that the Earth is not a sphere

The question of what shape our Earth really has is a recurring theme in human history. Based on a series of natural phenomena that contradict accepted academic teaching, Brazilian scientists at Dakila Pesquisas decided to investigate these inconsistencies.

To this end, studies involving scientific experiments were carried out worldwide over seven years, with the participation of state institutions and professional researchers from a wide range of fields. The results are presented in the documentary “Terra Convexa: The Documentary”. The preview took place by invitation on 26 March at 7.30 pm at the Shopping Eldorado centre in São Paulo (SP). The documentary was released three days later in Portuguese, English and Spanish.

TO THE DOCUMENTARY (ENGLISH)

According to Urandir Fernandes de Oliveira, founder of Dakila Pesquisas, the thesis that the Earth is round was refuted by seven experiments: a geodetic experiment involving the surveying of two buildings over a considerable distance; sea level as a reference measure; a laser experiment to determine the flatness of water surfaces; the levelling of water surfaces; optical distortions in reflection processes; an experiment with boats at horizon height; and experiments with gravity and celestial bodies.

For the geodetic experiment, the base and the top of two buildings were surveyed – one in Torres, Rio Grande do Sul, and the other in Natal, Rio Grande do Norte. Engineers from INCRA (Instituto Nacional de Colonização e Reforma Agrária, the National Institute for Colonisation and Agrarian Reform) were also involved in these activities. A long-range laser was used to measure the flatness of water at various locations: at the Três Marias dam in Minas Gerais; on the Lagoa dos Patos in Rio Grande do Sul; on Lake Titicaca in Peru; in the waters around the island of Ilhabela in the state of São Paulo; and in the Strait of Gibraltar, the sea passage separating Europe from Africa. The theory of gravity was called into question by two essential natural measures: the plumb line and the level.

All the experiments were carried out with the participation of astronomers, cartographers, geologists, surveyors, civil engineers and professional researchers, using state-of-the-art equipment. After the documentary’s release, Dakila Pesquisas will make all the methods and technologies used available, so that anyone interested has the opportunity to verify the results.

“In addition to the shape of the Earth, the documentary deals with the discovery of a new continent that is sealed off by a gigantic wall of ice. It also demonstrates new findings with regard to the Sun, the Moon and the constellations,” explained Urandir Fernandes de Oliveira.

Following the documentary, the book Terra Convexa will be published with all the scientific findings and a new map of the world.

Founded in 1997 in Corguinho, Mato Grosso do Sul, Dakila Pesquisas is made up of researchers and scientists from various disciplines with a focus on the exact and natural sciences.
