Organic oranges and organic mandarins

The first organic oranges and organic mandarins of the season are here.

The two varieties we are selling at first are Navelina oranges and Clemenules mandarins. Enjoy our first certified organic products of the season while we wait to complete our range with organic lemons.

We have published a new article in our blog (German) informing you about the effects of the high temperatures of recent months on the appearance of the oranges, which are paler than usual for this reason. This does not, however, affect their quality or taste – they are totally delicious!

Joint ordering through (supra-)regional supply

On a voluntary basis, we are building alternatives to the existing corporate and industrial supply chain:

People in a region join forces, record their needs for goods and services (monthly, for example) and agree their requirements with ethically operating producers, traders and service providers, with call-offs that are as even as possible and optimised for transport.

We then order for many people on a single customer account and have the orders delivered directly to you or to the regions, where they are distributed further. This means less work for the supplier, who has only one customer account to manage and fewer invoices, but a larger order volume. In the regions, people come together, talk to each other again and, by pooling small separate orders, also enjoy better prices per kilo (for example with 20 kg packs).

In the 2022/2023 season we ordered a tonne of citrus fruit from “Orangen frisch nach Hause” in this way and were rewarded at the end of the season with a 5% discount on all orders.

Exact availability, prices, varieties and shipping information can be found in the product overview. As part of the (supra-)regional supply project we can offer the prices direct from the plantation at a slight discount, with no delay and direct delivery to you.

Product overview

For years we have pointed to direct shipping from Ruth Palomero’s plantation in València, Spain. Depending on the season, you can order oranges, tomatoes, lemons, mandarins or avocados there directly from the plantation by parcel service, without intermediaries. It hardly gets fresher or more convenient. We have no financial interest in orders; we simply like to recommend it.
