Engaging with the work of great thinkers
In times of confusion and dumbing down, I find engaging with the work of great thinkers a healing mental cleanse. On the occasion of his 300th birthday, numerous events this year commemorate the philosopher Immanuel Kant. With incorruptible German thoroughness, Kant explored human consciousness in the tension between reason and free will. He came to the conclusion that freedom is the foundation of morality and ethics. Freedom gives human beings a dignity that nothing can relativise. But it also obliges them to respect the freedom of others in the same way under all circumstances. “Do not do to others what you would not want done to yourself.”
To solve factual and interpersonal problems, we have at our disposal the extremely fine and complex tool of the intellect. To use this tool constructively, it helps to know the instructions for use. Immanuel Kant set them down on paper point by point in his life’s work. By consistently carrying his analysis of reason through to the end, however, he also proved logically that the Creator has placed the instructions for the correct use of the intellect in every human heart.
Reason and free will,
which distinguish humans from animals, are in fact not enough to grasp human nature. “I therefore had to deny knowledge in order to make room for faith,” Kant wrote, postulating a Creator who is in principle unprovable, because He transcends all human reason, and who harmonises the laws of nature and the laws of morality. Otherwise, viewed purely rationally, moral behaviour would not be possible at all. Logically, the Church did not agree, because if every person communicates directly with their Creator, that would put its dignitaries out of work. So they promptly put Kant’s works on the Index of Forbidden Books.
I am thrilled by Kant’s intellectual honesty. It pulls the rug from under ideological discussions about the existence of God from the outset by putting the human capacity for thought in its place. It encourages people to use their own understanding, to accept no claim without proof and to take personal responsibility for their words and deeds. It links morally right behaviour to personal freedom by making clear that there can be no morality without freedom and no freedom without morality. And it acknowledges that without faith in an ultimate authority beyond all understanding, our lives would be condemned to meaninglessness.
What we are expected to put up with today as “public discourse”
therefore violates every rule of the very rationality that is so readily invoked. When small minds proclaimed the “death of God”, science, which had originally set out against the dogmatism of the churches, itself began to claim infallibility. Meanwhile THE officially recognised science has become a global religion that relentlessly persecutes heretics. Labels such as Covid denier, science denier or threat to democracy seamlessly continue the tradition of the Holy Inquisition. Criticism no longer means conscientiously checking whether a statement is factually correct or not. It is enough to put forward some unproven claim – as long as it testifies to the right attitude! If, on the other hand, someone has the wrong attitude, they have no chance, however many facts, figures and proofs they can present for their statement.
Attitude is the exact opposite of morality. For morality, as Kant so convincingly sets out, is based on individual freedom, personal responsibility and recognition of a universal divine order. Attitude, by contrast, is a mass phenomenon, staged by megalomaniac worldly powers that manipulate and restrict the individual’s freedom of opinion and action through intimidation and propaganda. Surveys have shown that in supposedly democratic countries only few people still dare to express their opinion openly. Anyone who wants a career in politics, science, business, the media or the law is well advised to keep their mouth shut and conform, because violating the currently prevailing “narrative” means exclusion from the community of the rich, the powerful, the beautiful and the good.
Pressure to conform from early childhood
currently ensures that reason and free will cannot develop in the first place. If children are accustomed early enough to parroting instead of thinking for themselves, to answering questions instead of asking them, to adopting given opinions instead of forming their own, they don’t even notice that they are being manipulated. That is why the system is so keen to defend its monopoly on education by every means! A young person who was never allowed to pursue their own questions, who has not learned to check information themselves and to think a thought through to the end, is helplessly at the mercy of propaganda.
That is why so many of our contemporaries succumb to the word magic of abbreviations they hear every day, such as UN, EU, WHO, WEF or NGOs. They have been led to believe that behind them stand unassailable institutions bound by their lofty statutes to serve the good of all humanity. If the hypnotised citizens dared to use their own understanding, it would be immediately clear to them that all these institutions consist of fallible people whose main concern is to preserve their status, their privileges and their high incomes. What do they have to do for this? Quite simple: they only need to make themselves useful to the real masters of these institutions – their financiers, sponsors and lobbyists. The WHO, for example, is more than 80 per cent financed by private companies and foundations, which are allowed to decide on their own authority what their “generous donations” are to be used for.
CO2 and LGBTQ
Two further abbreviations have also achieved questionable fame in recent years: CO2 and LGBTQ. They too are rarely questioned. Through sophisticated mind-control methods, the world’s population has been sworn to regard CO2, a basic building block of all organic life, as a threat. In the 1980s people were still being warned about the Earth freezing to death, but since their forecasts simply would not come true, the climate activists made a 180-degree turn: since then we are supposedly facing the planet’s heat death, and the culprit is said to be a gas that today makes up just 0.04% (!!) of the air we breathe! In past geological eras, the CO2 content of the air was at least three times this value, which had an extremely positive effect on vegetation. Logically, then, the planned reduction of CO2 would mean that plants, and consequently animals and humans too, would find worse living conditions than today…
The LGBTQ movement initially campaigned to rehabilitate people who were discriminated against because of their sexual orientation. That was undoubtedly a laudable goal. But the ideologues of this movement soon overshot this goal further and further. Today there is sex education and dedicated masturbation rooms in kindergartens, readings by drag queens for preschool children and Pride Weeks in schools and homes, at which psychologists encourage young people to solve their puberty problems through a “sex change”. That has absolutely nothing to do with tolerance and solidarity any more!
I have personally encountered several such cases, which is why this insidious mass deception outrages me in particular. Under the name Self-Determination Act (!), Germany recently created the legal possibility of changing one’s gender identity once a year. The mass media cheer or remain silent. Most psychologists play along. Who will explain to the poor, confused young people that they cannot change their sex, only give it up?! People who have undergone surgery are de facto sexless! They are excluded once and for all from the joys of natural sexuality and starting a family, and to maintain their artificially altered sexual characteristics they have to take medication for life. Today’s celebrated transsexuals are thus the forerunners of transhuman cyborgs, who can at most reproduce through test-tube babies…
When human beings no longer recognise any higher authority above themselves, they lose their minds. Never has this been as clearly visible as today. AI will never be able to replace human reason, and only the mentally ill believe they could defeat illness and death through technical aids. That is why we are now seeing that spiritual people, who are aware of their connection with the source and with all their fellow creatures, are also saving reason: they are the only ones who are able to distinguish facts from opinions, who don’t fall for Orwellian Newspeak and who can think thoughts through to the end independently. On the spiritual as well as the rational level, these people – who, as Kant put it, feel deep reverence for the starry heavens above them and the moral law within them – are the light of the world.
Luminous May greetings Alexandra
2nd edition of “Lernen ist wie Atmen” (Learning is like breathing)

The 2nd edition of our book meets a completely changed readership.
In 2017, the idea that learning outside school was possible at all was considered the eccentric notion of a few outsiders. Since then, all parents, whether they wanted to or not, have had to deal with forms of learning outside school.
The number of children withdrawn from school has exploded since then, and alternative learning projects are springing up like mushrooms.
