Why shouldn’t highly efficient ceramic radiators used in industry also be used to heat buildings? SHYN emerged from this vision – with the aim of making heating more sustainable, more affordable and healthier.

Behind this innovation is a dedicated team around Thorsten Juerris, who developed his idea in a factory in Vietnam and then brought it to northern Germany.

Today, experts from technology, design and small and medium-sized businesses are working together to make the heating transition practical and affordable. For SHYN does not just want to sell a heater – the company wants to send a signal: for real energy transformation instead of expensive treatment of symptoms.

The patented technology behind SHYN uses a 180° radiation angle and a 3D heating effect that heats the entire room evenly – including floor and walls. A pleasant, natural indoor climate develops after just a few minutes.

A single unit can efficiently heat up to 30 square metres in an average existing building, and considerably more in a passive house, with an impressive efficiency of over 90 %.

And the best thing: installation is so simple that you can do it yourself in minutes. No conversion, no dust, no building site – just hang it up, plug it in, done! If you move, you simply take your heating with you.

SHYN in use

At the “Gästehaus Horizont” guesthouse, all apartments were converted to SHYN heaters step by step in 2022 and 2023. After equipping the first two apartments it was already clear that the savings potential and the gain in comfort were great. Whereas in winter the apartments previously had to be heated several days before the guests arrived, it was now enough simply to press the button on the smartphone the evening before.

The vacant older building in an eastern district of Hamburg was to be made ready for refugees to move in for the first time. The existing heating system was defective and would have been costly to renew. Shyn was installed in a total of 15 rooms in a very short time, providing warmth for the refugees. Heat right on target!

In the middle of the idyllic nature of the Pönitz lake district lies the holiday resort “Gronenberger Mühle” – named after the listed 17th-century watermill, which is still the heart of the resort today and even generates part of the electricity it needs.

For an authentic nature experience, guests stay in 32 modern designer wooden houses that combine the highest comfort with sustainable construction. Cosy and healthy warmth in the houses is now provided by SHYN – the innovative infrared heater that produces heat as naturally as the sun’s rays.

Thanks to web-based control, all SHYN units can be managed centrally. This saves energy and costs, simplifies handling and saves the Gronenberger Mühle service team many trips – entirely in the spirit of modern, efficient operation.
