STOP Smart Meters – the current petition

Now is the time – join in and sign the petition of the STOP Smart-Meter initiative.

There are numerous arguments and reasons for signing the petition against smart meters. Have your say, raise your voice and let us make clear demands together!

TO THE PETITION (German)

Below is an excerpt from the information on the STOP Smart-Meter petition website: I reject smart electricity meters in my home and in my surroundings:

• Because smart meters (can) monitor my consumption behaviour and thereby intrude on my privacy
• Because smart meters generate electrosmog, either through radio or PLC transmission, and thereby burden and endanger my/our health
• Because grid operators have external access to the meter. Electricity can be switched off remotely, and meters can be manipulated remotely (hackers).
• Because the short-lived smart meters cause enormous costs, which amount to economic and ecological madness
• Because some smart meters measure incorrectly
