Tea maker produces disinfectant
Mabura makes liquid tea – at least it did until now, and soon will again.
Right now, however, our capacity is mainly being used to produce disinfectant, filled into glass bottles for refilling existing spray bottles or dispensers, for example. Apart from the quantities urgently needed by the health system, food retailers cannot really meet households’ demand for disinfectant at the moment. So we took action. We also supply the GAIA Marketplace.
Ever since Mabura was founded, supporting “people who think differently” and initiatives such as GAIA has been a central concern for us – because we think and act differently, too. With us, high-quality tea does not come in little bags but as tea syrup in recyclable glass bottles. To make this possible, we invested in a large, modern bottling plant, and our products are becoming more and more popular. We are even already allowed to supply supermarket chains.
We recently formed an alliance with the Carinthian brand Wasseralm (German) and are using our equipment to bottle urgently needed water-based disinfectant. In this way, regional value creation continues to grow and we keep supply routes short. Around 200,000 bottles are still in our warehouse. Bottles with spray heads or made of plastic are currently sold out on the market. So it makes sense to use the glass bottles and to refill customers’ and institutions’ existing dispensers and spray bottles from recyclable refill containers.
Feel free to order your refill on the GAIA Marketplace – the usual discounted terms apply to members.
