The new season is just around the corner

The new season is just around the corner

Ruth lets you know: the new orange and mandarin season is just around the corner.

Ruth Palomero Dear customers, soon we will be starting a new season full of challenges and also joy. It is a very special moment for us, because we are opening a warehouse!

To meet the requirements for selling organic oranges, which demand that organic and conventional production take place completely separately, we had to expand our workplace. We also took the opportunity to move our office from home into the warehouse, which makes work more comfortable for the whole team.

At the moment we are still in the process of obtaining permission to sell organic citrus fruit, and we expect to be able to sell organic oranges, or oranges “in conversion to organic”, with the corresponding certificates from December or January. In this context, we think it is important to let you know that the only guarantee valid for marketing organic food products is the European certificate, which in Valencia is issued by the public body CAECV (Comité d’Agricultura Ecològica de la Comunitat Valenciana). We have applied for this certificate, and it is also binding on the farmers who supply us with their produce.

At Orangen frisch nach Hause we are also drawing up our company’s balance sheet within the Economy for the Common Good. As soon as the results are available, we will publish them on our website. The Economy for the Common Good is an international movement that examines how companies are run from the perspective of social justice and ecological sustainability, among other things. If you are interested, we explain more details here:

This season we are adding the Clemenrubí mandarin to our range, an early mandarin of the highest quality! We expect to have enough ripe mandarins in just a few weeks to start selling them in our shop. As always, we will let you know by email, and we would be delighted if you recommended to your friends and family that they sign up on our website and activate the newsletter, so that we can let them know when our online shop opens.

Finally, we would like to thank all the customers who took the time to answer our survey at the end of last season, because your opinions help us a great deal in identifying the aspects of our service we can improve.

This year, once again, we will pick the best oranges for you and send our best intentions and wishes with every one of them.

We would like to point you to direct shipping from Ruth Palomero’s orange plantation in València. There you can order oranges and mandarins directly from the farmer to your home, without any middlemen. It (almost) doesn’t get any fresher or more convenient. We gain nothing financially from orders. We are simply happy to recommend it.
