What is self-sufficiency in the social sector?

What is self-sufficiency in the social sector?

Our social system – a very sensitive topic in our society?

For some time now, I have found the way we treat each other socially rather “hard to get used to”.

In other cultures, after all, I mostly experienced a much warmer and more open way of relating to one another. In my opinion, these differences have grown historically through the fundamental shaping of belief patterns and the form of living together that results from them (also called politics and religion). So for me, the education system also plays a major role.

In our culture, people are prepared from an early age, through the way they learn and are graded, for our economic system, which is based on competition. If a person’s survival is then endangered by this hostile way of dealing with life, the “social system” steps in.

What the term social system means

The German edition of Wikipedia already contains several definitions of the term.

That our social system is one of the largest and most important economic factors only really becomes clear when you look at the turnover it generates.

In our current situation, the share of economic turnover generated by social services is significant compared with sectors such as production and trade.

If we treated one another with mindfulness, appreciation and a united approach based on the principles of nature, we would not only spare ourselves a great deal of human suffering. Incidentally, the social services sector would also lose importance in our economic system, since considerate interpersonal behaviour would be taken for granted. Instead of having to pay money for the accompaniment, care and nursing of people who need support, it would once again be natural to help one another – just as in nature a mother is there for her young without receiving money from her offspring.

It will probably take some time until we humans regain this awareness, or until the conditions for it have been created :)

Until then, we need to take steps that lead us in this direction. One could be the following:

We, in the largest community that stands for independence and self-sufficiency, support one another in challenges where help with the care and nursing of people who need it is required.

I call on all those who feel addressed to contact me, so that together we can take the necessary steps and create the appropriate structures.
