What is true, what is reality, and what is really true?
“Looking for consciousness in the brain is like looking for the presenters inside a radio.” – David Icke
“ACTUALITY (German: Wirklichkeit, what is truly at work) differs significantly in concept and content from reality, which derives from the Latin word ‘res’, meaning ‘the thing’ or ‘the matter’. Reality is therefore the world of things. We call ‘real’ whatever we can grasp with our classic five senses.”
To quote Prim. Doz. Dr med. Reinhard Friedl, heart surgeon and cardiac researcher:
True in the philosophical sense is everything that is, and all being characterises actuality. This can be considerably more than we can objectify with our senses in a physiologically measurable way. And it can also reach far beyond our imagination. What we humans can grasp with our senses is not in itself actuality or truth, but “only” reality. Reality is merely a highly selective excerpt of the truth, that is, of the existence of everything.
The brain is not “who we are”; the brain processes and communicates information. Looking for consciousness in the brain is therefore like looking for the presenter inside a radio. It starts from false assumptions. In truth, the radio merely decodes information – and that is exactly how the brain works, too.
Let us try just this short thought experiment: the brain sits well embedded in the middle of the skull – that is, in complete darkness. And yet it sees light! How is that possible? Because “light” is “only” information too, which, once decoded, produces the visual impression “bright”. Our highly complex brain computer is responsible for this conversion, this decoding.
We see what we see because we decode – read – the energetic information contained in light in a very particular way. Colours are in truth only frequencies. Nothing has a colour – yet in our perception we give things particular colours! We see only certain wavelengths, only a very, very small part – we cannot perceive most of the universe!
What is the universe?
It is information. To be precise, it is information that decodes information. There is no “empty space” between us. There is always energy there. And this energy contains information. If you want to understand the universe, think in terms of energy, frequency and vibration, says Tesla. Everything is wave, is oscillation, is communication, exchange, connection.
The quantum physicist and Right Livelihood Award laureate Hans-Peter Dürr puts it like this:
Basically, matter does not exist at all. At least not in the usual sense. There is only a web of relationships, constant change, aliveness. Primarily, only what connects exists, without a material basis. WE CAN ALSO CALL IT SPIRIT.
