Using your brain properly! How to develop your potential – Prof. Dr. Gerald Hüther (German)
The world is becoming ever more complicated: politics, the economy, but also our own lives have become complex – solutions with which we can and want to live together are hard to find. A change of thinking is needed! That means we have to question the way we have thought so far. The sciences in particular are affected by this. A fundamental openness to new insights is the prerequisite for the growth of all of us. But if we have no common goal, we remain stuck in our self-centredness. So changing our thinking is about moving from self-centredness to connection with other people. This opens up undreamt-of possibilities for us. But why do people, in a world in which everything is connected, still experience themselves as so radically separate from it? Precisely because the deep feeling of connectedness with which we are born is trained out of us as children by mother, father and later by society. More than ever, each of us needs to become ourselves. Only in this way do we learn to live our truth and enter into open exchange with others. After more than 20 years, Prof. Dr. Gerald Hüther, neurobiologist and author of popular-science books, has ended his work at the university. As chairman of the Academy for Potential Development, he now focuses more on putting into practice all the many interesting insights he has gathered and passed on in the course of this work.
