Infinite energy from a water wheel
A water wheel for the garage – how an invention from Wallersdorf is supposed to change the world
“A mill wheel, a tub and a water pump can produce endless electricity in the right arrangement. You don’t believe it? But it really works. The inventor Hermann Lidlgruber from Wallersdorf in Bavaria makes it possible.” That is how a video introduces the topic; it has been circulating online since the end of March and was already broadcast on Niederbayern TV in 2020. On 2 April we spoke to him.
I became aware of it through a post on social media. On the spur of the moment I picked up the phone to call Mr Lidlgruber and tell him about my personal interest and that of a much larger group – the GAIA members. Our conversation was friendly, and I informed Roberto Reuter, one of the founders. He also phoned Mr Lidlgruber straight away and suggested a joint meeting to get to know each other, which was to be finalised yesterday. Mr Lidlgruber is already of a venerable age and, because of numerous calls, asked for notice and confirmation one day before the planned meeting.
When arranging the appointment, I have now learned that the idea has just been bought up by millionaires and that our visit is off, at least for the moment.
The video of the water wheel (German)
The aim of our meeting would have been a more precise understanding of the installation and the underlying calculations, because from the video alone we could not yet explain why it works. We would have liked to place it in a working group together with Mr Lidlgruber and to start producing a small series. After all, there are plenty of capacities for this among the members.
I will stay on the case and call again in a while. If anything changes, or if anyone here has or gains different knowledge, I look forward to a comment or direct contact.
