ÖVR NEWS 02-2020
Over the last few weeks we have invested a lot of time in our ÖVR website.
It has now been restructured and made clearer, with several chapters, some new content and quotations, so that anyone interested can find their way into this hot – and therefore controversial – subject relatively easily. And here we present the new, improved ÖVR website:
Write and tell us what you think. What do you like best? Do you have any suggestions? We welcome all feedback!
The next – probably the most exciting – conference in ÖVR history is coming up.
The topic of “climate change” gives the ultimate energy of the future a chance to launch the truly revolutionary energy transition. How? Through the increased use of peaceful, sustainable and environmentally friendly space energy technologies! What energy is more environmentally friendly than the “energy of a thousand names”? What fuel apart from water is absolutely harmless? Producing hydrogen with the latest technologies?
The conference programme is now fixed and can be found here: CONFERENCE – PROGRAMME (German)
This year we will have the greatest TV coverage ever, from the alternative TV channel NuoViso with Robert Stein, who provides 197,000 subscribers with GOOD NEWS and INSIDER KNOWLEDGE that you neither see nor hear in the mainstream. As this event will certainly be fully booked, thanks to the great topic and the expert line-up, we recommend booking early to get the early-bird discount!
Simply register – you are welcome to bring a companion – at office@oevr.at CONFERENCE – PROGRAMME (German)
Climate change fake news and falsified statistics in focus
News from the popular ÖVR special page on climate change
A quotation attributed to Gustave Le Bon (1841–1931), a French sociologist and founder of “crowd psychology”:
“If you want to influence people, never try to provide proof. Lie to them boldly and brazenly and they will follow you. People have never thirsted for the truth; they prefer to idolise error. Whoever deceives people becomes their master; whoever enlightens them always becomes their victim. The ease with which claims are accepted as correct is connected with most people’s unwillingness to gather the knowledge needed to form their own opinion.”
As a practical example, the mainstream repeatedly quotes something like:
“About 97% of all scientific papers, and therefore scientists, are fully convinced that global warming is purely man-made”
This very factual and sober contribution shows how, on very close examination and analysis of the largest meta-study (2013) by the psychologist Cook – who evaluated 12,000 studies – the 97% became just 0.54%, in the ÖVR’s reading: https://youtu.be/uMmPNQDLprY
