Scholé News – March/April 2024

World War III is not at the door –

it has long been in full swing. A bitter, all-decisive battle for people’s hearts and minds is raging worldwide: the information war. On one side, seemingly fighting a losing battle, stand guerrilla fighters for the truth. On the other side stand global powers trying to bring reality completely under control by every means of lies and deception. Their most important forces, the mainstream media – fattened on compulsory licence fees, large donations and advertising revenue – act as loyal allies of politics when it comes to eliminating the most dangerous opponent: committed small internet reporters who work on a donation basis to expose the lies of the powerful as best they can.

“Digital Services Act” is the name of a new EU law in force since February 2024, which, under threat of penalties, orders internet platforms to delete all channels that spread content critical of the government and therefore – by the EU’s definition – “endangering democracy” (!). With the same absurd argument of endangering democracy, France made criticism of vaccines in general a criminal offence a few months ago. Germany is currently going all out to define opposition parties as right-wing extremist organisations, because it would like to eliminate them before the upcoming elections. In the USA, the Democratic challenger Robert Kennedy was simply ignored by the media, and Trump, the Republican candidate leading in all polls, faces one court case after another, in an attempt to put him behind bars for sexual harassment or tax offences in time for the presidential election in November.

When people are not aware of what is happening to them

How is it possible that such obvious manipulation is still accepted without objection by so many people? How is it possible that European governments may now speak quite openly of switching to a war economy, while peace activists have to expect to be led away by the police? How is it possible that the motion tabled by a few courageous members of the European Parliament to review the vaccine contracts worth 35 billion in taxpayers’ money – which Ursula von der Leyen had handed to Pfizer after a friendly text-message exchange with the company’s boss – was rejected by a majority? If we ever learn more about this deal concluded by the President of the EU Commission in all our names, we will owe it to the private lawsuit of a Belgian citizen! But why do so few of our contemporaries act as naturally as this upright Belgian?

I believe it is because a great many people have lost touch with reality and with it their sense of truth. The need, innate in every child, to explore the reality around them with all their senses has been lost or was trained out of them in early childhood. Even the German word for reality, “Wirklichkeit”, has become rare and is mostly replaced by the more international, more scientific-sounding “Realität”. And in our everyday lives, reality is disappearing behind an ever denser fog of virtual worlds, forecasts, statistics, official announcements, rules on attitudes, advertising campaigns and fear-mongering propaganda phrases.

All these substitute terms must of course contain a small kernel of reality if they are to have any effect, because “wirklich ist, was wirkt” – “real is what has an effect” – as the simplest definition of this profound German word puts it, a word we owe, incidentally, to the mystic Meister Eckhart. But where is the original, multidimensional reality that can be grasped with all our senses? Do we miss it? Have we even noticed it steadily disappearing? Are we perhaps even glad to be rid of it?

Inner and outer reality

Thinking about these questions, it struck me that we first need to distinguish between inner and outer reality, although they are closely intertwined. There is no inner reality without outer reality, and no outer without inner. By nature, inner reality – human consciousness – reaches up to the highest spiritual spheres. Through interference from outside, however, it can be severely restricted and cut off from its origin. Thus every single person is characterised by a completely individual inner reality, which of course decisively influences their perception of outer reality.

Conclusion: the world out there is not objective! Each of us creates a subjective reality in our consciousness by scanning the outside world with our senses and then comparing it with our inner reality and bringing the two into harmony. Each of us inevitably has an entirely individual perspective on what happens outside and reacts to it in our own way. Indeed, one could say that perception – in German “Wahr-nehmung”, literally “taking as true” – takes place at the intersection of inner and outer reality, provided a person actually perceives actively, that is, is searching for truth or meaning.

How does a person lose the natural ability to perceive?

How does a person lose the natural ability to perceive the TRUTH? Through being brought up to be a subject or a consumer. The little human being, who inwardly is a great soul, is cut off from their higher consciousness, from their innate sense of truth and reality, when they are systematically brought into line – when they have to learn what everyone has to learn, when they have to obey and submit. Instead of being allowed to become aware of their individual abilities through freely chosen activities, they are made a passive object of education: compared, assessed, conditioned towards fears and worries, mistakes and deficits. After years of training, the young person has internalised the negative view of their educators: instead of a world full of possibilities, they now see a world full of problems.

People mis-educated in this way like to entrench themselves behind the claim that searching for truth is pointless anyway, because there is no such thing as truth. Indeed, when people no longer actively search for the truth, when the need for meaning with which every child is born has been driven out of them, they really do fall into a paralysing passivity: they stop feeling and thinking for themselves.

Information shapes our world view and our mood

They willingly let themselves be told that there is an objective reality out there, but one so complex and hard to recognise that its exploration is best left to highly specialised experts. Whoever believes this gives up their self-determination. They lose access to spiritual reality and become manipulable through the instrument of information. Eagerly they let sounds, sentences or images enter them that shape their world view and steer their mood.

Seekers of truth are aware that THE TRUTH very much exists. It belongs to the level of the spirit, on which we are all connected. On the material level, where we live separated from one another, the one TRUTH is reflected in billions of individual perspectives. These manifold TRUTHS never oppose one another, however, but rather complement each other. Only where lies come into play, or character weaknesses such as envy, jealousy and vanity distort the view of reality, do incompatibilities, enmities, conflict and war arise.

A particularly perfidious method of splitting essentially peaceful people into hostile camps through pointless discussions is the use of supposedly objective terms that imperceptibly override the subjective interplay of inner and outer reality. When the lie is not just in the statement but is already hidden in the terms themselves, a particularly large number of people unsuspectingly fall for it. A good example is the newly coined buzzwords around the term climate, such as climate protection, climate denier, climate glue activist.

Climate deniers and climate glue activists

Why would anyone deny the concept of climate? It refers to the totality of all weather events in a particular area over a particular period of time. How, by whom and from what should weather events be “protected”?? At most, specialists in geoengineering – whose activities are indeed denied by those who commission them – are able to influence the climate artificially. Unfortunately they probably do so, with unforeseeably catastrophic consequences for people and nature. But climate activists, climate protectors and climate glue activists have unfortunately not yet hit on the idea that the freak weather attributed to climate change might be the result of geoengineering…

It is much the same with other words that only seem well-meaning at first glance, such as solidarity, gender neutrality, sustainability, welcome culture or educational equity. They are misused as fighting words to push through hidden plans, which can be implemented all the more efficiently and undisturbed in the slipstream of pointless discussions about trivia. The worst of these oh-so-innocent-sounding fighting words is PROTECTION, which in reality quite simply means INCAPACITATION!

Trust in the flow of life despite everything

For 2024 and 2025, the EU and the WEF have set themselves the lofty goal of PROTECTING citizens from disinformation by censoring or shutting down all channels critical of the government – under the motto of PROTECTING democracy. Many of these small internet channels have done us invaluable service, above all over the last 4 years, by providing us with facts and counter-opinions to the official narrative. Thanks to them, many people have been able to restore their damaged sense of reality to the point where they can once again distinguish between truth and lies.

The most advanced among the seekers of truth have come into such close contact with their inner spiritual reality that nothing outside can throw them off course any more, because they always feel safe and guided. Their trust in the flow of life is unshakeable. They have experienced a higher reality in which everything that happens – whether good or evil, pleasant or unpleasant, visible or invisible – stands in a mysterious context of meaning. Depending on their current perspective, this deeper meaning reveals itself to them as confidence, joy, truth, peace, freedom, love.

2nd edition of “Lernen ist wie Atmen” (Learning is like breathing)

The 2nd edition of our book meets a completely changed readership.

In 2017, the idea that learning outside school was possible at all was considered the eccentric notion of a few outsiders. Since then, all parents, whether they wanted to or not, have had to deal with forms of learning outside school.

The number of children withdrawn from school has exploded since then, and alternative learning projects are springing up like mushrooms.
