The thing about acids and bases
Why so sour? Come back to base! ;) – because there are plenty of illnesses.
Real “remedies” tend to be rare, unknown or forgotten. Anyone who feels unwell today goes to the doctor and is treated there with more or less success. The main problem with these treatments is that hardly anyone takes an interest in the cause of the complaints. Over-acidification is not really considered as a possibility either.
If you have a sore throat, you get tablets for a sore throat; if you have arthritic problems, anti-inflammatory drugs are recommended; and if you have high blood pressure, then … God help you … ;) – only joking – you will of course be prescribed a blood-pressure-lowering drug, which not infrequently comes with a whole range of side effects. But on such a visit, has anyone ever really bothered to ask WHY you have a sore throat? WHAT led to the arthritis? HOW the high blood pressure came about?
Most complaints often have a simple underlying cause: over-acidification.
Over-acidification is a state that stands at the very beginning of every path of suffering, and unfortunately you do not feel it at first. The human organism tries – often over many decades – to compensate for existing over-acidification. And for a while it succeeds. How long depends on the individual constitution, lifestyle and personal reserves. Then the first symptoms appear. At first you usually feel “only” a little lacking in energy, listless, tired and without any drive. Over time, all kinds of ailments and symptoms are added, and many medicines increase the existing over-acidification even further. A vicious circle looms.
What does “over-acidification” really mean?
As the name clearly says, it is about too much acid. In our organism there are areas that need to be acidic and areas that need to be alkaline in order to function properly – for example the blood, the intercellular fluid, the vaginal environment or the small intestine, and many more. To keep this finely tuned acid-base balance in equilibrium, the body has various regulatory mechanisms of its own. Interested readers can find out which ones in a short summary of four A4 pages. Enjoy it, and stay in balance! With love.
