Walter Loidl's heat engine

Walter Loidl's heat engine

Carbon dioxide is condemned as a climate killer, yet it also has positive sides.

For example, it triggers the breathing reflex. And it has other little-known and highly interesting properties. Walter Loidl says: “Largely unexplored things about this gas…” His prototype exploits a very special anomaly …

For this, however, it has to be liquefied. In this form it does not occur in nature, but liquefying it is quite economical in some applications – in the catering trade, for example. In its liquid state it shows astonishing properties.

Hermetically sealed liquid carbon dioxide expands remarkably strongly in the range of body temperature and builds up high pressures. Using the warmth of our body, sunlight or – thinking a little bigger – industrial waste heat, electricity can thus, according to the inventor, be generated completely emission-free. All that is needed is to seal the carbon dioxide hermetically. It then works for us as soon as it is heated and cooled in cycles. And one more thing: the enclosed CO2 is “taken out of circulation”. It works completely silently and without emissions. Nothing is burned and no fossil resources are consumed.

Walter Loidl has been researching the anomalies of this natural gas for many years and has already turned numerous ideas into prototypes. He has been through just as many highs and lows of an inventor’s life and has not been spared in business. Nevertheless, he is determined not to give up.

We too believe that his prototypes can be developed further. After all, it really does not take much to reach a “return on investment” for sponsors.

We first met Walter Loidl on 23 November 2016 in Vienna. Exactly three years later to the day, we are now able to present a video of his work by the filmmaker Hubert Sielecki, and we are asking for support. We would be delighted to put people in touch who can imagine helping out financially.

…yes, the demo model was long overdue. Actually, that is how we should have started. But you are floating on a cloud of euphoria … When I think of the money we burned – we would only ever have needed to invest a fraction of it in demo units like this! But after a while you just can’t take the blinkers off any more. (Walter Loidl)
