While some talk and know everything that is not possible, others build habitable solar power stations.

Like the company fin future is now – kuster energielösungen gmbh

The surplus heat is sold to the surrounding buildings, which brings the municipality around 30,000 euros of income every year. The great thing: the events centre in Hallwang is heated 100% by solar energy from solar collectors and supplied with electricity from 100% PV. No boiler, no heat pump … heated simply by solar collectors. Hot water is provided the same way: with zero energy costs! – And the energy surplus is sold!

KULTUR- UND VERANSTALTUNGSZENTRUM HALLWANG

A power station for culture 138 m² of Gasokol large-area collectors, designed specifically for this application, combined with concrete-core storage technology to supply the events centre entirely with solar energy.

Opened in September 2013 The multi-purpose hall of almost 1,540 m² for all kinds of events is a highly successful symbiosis of contemporary architecture and climate protection. The building’s entire energy supply comes exclusively from the sun, so there are neither CO2 emissions nor running energy costs for the municipality. Heating and hot water are supplied by the thermal solar collectors, and a state-of-the-art photovoltaic system with individual module monitoring and shutdown was installed to cover the electricity demand. Other special features are the highly efficient ventilation system with a rotary heat exchanger and displacement air outlets, and the equally environmentally friendly multi-stage cooling system.

A wide range of events for up to 400 guests, such as theatre and music evenings, cabaret programmes, balls or seminars, thus find a home in this cultural and events centre that is as modern as it is energy-efficient.

A note from the GAIA editorial team: We are delighted that, after many years of friendship, Wolfgang Löser is now also distributing his mailings through GAIA as a member and is actively using the platform for himself and his pioneering ideas. We are very happy to support him in putting his articles together.
