We need a shared understanding …

We need a shared understanding …

A powerful statement that has been overdue for decades:

“We need a shared understanding of the radical nature of the change, the size of our task and how little time we have.” (Source: Volkswagen AG – speech by VW CEO Herbert Diess at the Global Board Meeting on 16 January 2020)

Some people are still dreaming of an energy transition by 2030, 2040, 2050, but many sectors of the economy have long since recognised that survival is only possible with an immediate exit from fossil fuels – with swift action and implementation. For decades I have seen it the same way: 100% renewable energy – NOW. The economy is beginning to overtake the eternally backward-looking demands of “energy transition 2030, 2050 …” at the speed of light.

EVERYONE has ONLY this chance: to take the NEW WAY into the future with COURAGE – everything else, the OLD WAY, is a step backwards and has no chance

Self-build group:

Would you also like to receive invitations to the battery storage, PV and CHP self-build group? Many interested people and experts on a wide range of topics take part, exchange ideas and carry out projects – entirely without obligation and free of charge. If you are interested, please reply to me, Wolfgang Löser, at w.loeser@aon.at or register directly with Fritz Herzog at f.herzog.wodo@gmx.at: “Please add me to the mailing list”.

Note: The self-build group meets roughly every 3–4 months (usually on the second Wednesday of a month). Forum on the website -> http://forum.diy-bettery.net/ (German) Website -> http://diy-bettery.net/selbstbaugruppe/ (German)

EVENTS AT THE TIME (2020)

How can a farm supply itself entirely with energy? And is that possible or sensible at all? Wolfgang Löser runs Austria’s first energy self-sufficient farm and presents solutions for being completely self-sufficient in heat, electricity and fuel. The course gives an overview of different approaches to energy self-sufficient farming, with a focus on vegetable oil as fuel. The LFS Tulln agricultural college and an excursion to Wolfgang Löser’s farm offer the chance to see energy self-sufficient systems in practice. Where: LFS Tulln, Frauentorgasse 72-76, 3430 Tulln, Dir. Josef Meisl josef.meisl@lfs-tulln.ac.at Organisation: CONTACT Roland, telephone +43 676 842214345 Course fee: EUR 35.00 subsidised, EUR 70.00 unsubsidised.
