The dangers of the "Great Digital Reset"
Decentralised ecosystems are essential for maintaining a free market economy
and protecting individual freedoms. Over the last century, the way we live our lives has changed dramatically. Much of this change came around the turn of the millennium with the advent of the internet, and then about a decade later when the smartphone was introduced and became accessible to the average person.
But if we take a closer look at history, we can see that the most remarkable change of the last century was one that most people are not even aware of (and which is arguably just as important to recognise as earlier technological advances).
What was this tiny event?
It was the “New Deal”, decreed by President Franklin D. Roosevelt in the United States between 1933 and 1939.
In short, the New Deal allowed an increase in centralised government power and opened the door to continued federal overreach. We can clearly see the effects of this today, as the federal government has overstepped the limits of the Constitution far too often.
Between the New Deal and the Second World War, it seems as though the proverbial clock of economic and social justice was driven forward faster than ever before.
Today we face a continuation of centralised government expansion and encroachment on individual freedoms – but in a way that many of us do not see coming.
Covid-19 and our economically sick society
During the global pandemic of 2020 we learned two hard truths about where we stand as a society.
- We are grossly unhealthy, and this shows in how we reacted to the outbreak of the coronavirus.
- When the next financial “heart attack” strikes, many of us will not be able to recover, leaving a bigger gaping hole in our economy than last time.
With the ever-growing fear of further nationwide lockdowns and individual mandates, the vast majority of people want to return to some degree of normality – even if that means continuing to wear a mask and practise social distancing (for which there are no scientific data supporting its effectiveness).
But the mainstream media have made it clear that we will never return to the way things were and that we simply have to accept this “new normal”.
What is this “new normal”?
Professor Klaus Schwab, founder and executive chairman of the World Economic Forum, said:
“The pandemic represents a rare but narrow window of opportunity to reflect, reimagine, and reset our world.”
But what does it really mean to “reimagine and reset our world”? Recently, executives from some of the largest technology, media and food companies (including Coca-Cola, Disney, Salesforce and Facebook) came together to discuss the changes needed to arrive at a new, sustainable global economy.
Among the many promises made in the Digital Reset are the environmental, social and governance (ESG) standards.
These standards would require companies to meet certain ESG criteria in order to be able to borrow money or even to be listed on the NYSE. But that is not all.
With this new partnership between the public and private sectors, global centralisation has gone from an idea to a very serious reality that we must address if we want to preserve individual freedoms and free-market capitalism.
Centralised control
Decentralised ecosystem
What do we do now?
Decentralisation in every industry will be the key to maintaining strong local communities in the face of growing global governance. “We the people” must lead this change.
It is time for us to take our lives into our own hands and stop handing them over to people and organisations that do not have our best interests at heart. ClearUnited is at the forefront of this movement.

Original article: Michael Proper’s original article (English) – the text above is a translation back into English of our German version. As founder of the ClearFOUNDATION, Michael Proper is a pioneer in the field of privacy protection. Out of this idea, his team developed the ClearPHONE. It makes privacy private again. The ClearOS operating system is based on Android and is constantly being developed further.
I got to know Michael Proper personally in 2018, then accompanied the crowdfunding as an early bird, and have had one of the first ClearPHONE 420s since the end of 2020.
I am happy to be able to control, and thus reduce, my digital footprint again with this phone.
What is a ClearPHONE? What makes it so different?
“ClearPHONE gives you control to block malware, ads, cookies, trackers, and backdoors to make your phone yours again.”
At the back of our minds we have long known that a great deal of content on the internet is purely promotional, sometimes unsuitable for our children, usually lurking just around the corner, presenting itself invitingly everywhere and always just a few taps away.
