Yildiz 2019: The 7.5 kW test in Belluno
This chapter of the Yildiz story is also a piece of GAIA history. In February 2019 GAIA concluded an agreement with Muammer Yildiz: he was to develop a series of devices for household use, with an output of several kilowatts but under ten. A public “proof of concept” with a continuous test lasting 10 to 14 days was announced; we covered this ourselves at the time, for instance in the article “Muammer Yildiz – Willkommen bei GAIA” (Muammer Yildiz – welcome to GAIA, German). This account is based on the NET-Journal report written by Dipl.-Ing. Andreas Sofran as an eyewitness.
The set-up
According to those involved, Yildiz and his team in Turkey built a prototype with a rated output of 7.5 kilowatts in just five months. It was demonstrated from 5 July 2019 in Belluno in northern Italy, in the showrooms of a company the inventor had previously worked for.
The test set-up was meant to dispel doubts:
- A 1,000-litre water boiler with three thermometers as the load – it was to be heated up within a time calculated in advance.
- Seven permanently installed cameras and a livestream on the internet, with one camera also underneath the device.
- The device stood on pallets, a mirror wall showed its back; only two cables led to the boiler.
- Before the start, Yildiz opened the front flap: no battery blocks, only cables and switches.
According to the description, the magnet motor drove generators via belts, and inverters converted their voltage into normal mains voltage.
The abort
Because of problems with the livestream, the test did not start until 11 a.m. instead of 9 a.m. Then the device ran – until the stream broke off after 6 hours and 41 minutes. According to information available to GAIA, the cause was a mechanical defect that could not be repaired at short notice. The planned three-day test therefore did not take place. Dr Jorge Duarte commented, in essence, that a working magnet generator had been seen in operation for over six hours; now the prototype had to be optimised. Our statement at the time is here: “Livestream Yildiz motor – statement”.
Assessment
Belluno was the most transparent public demonstration of a Yildiz motor to date – and at the same time evidence of how hard it is to provide robust proof. Six hours and 41 minutes is not a long-term test, the boiler measurement was not completed, and no independent, closed energy balance exists. An honest look back also includes the fact that GAIA itself was a partner at the time.
