Merry Christmas and a happy New Year

These are turbulent times. Let us take a brief look back at what we did this year and draw courage and confidence for the road ahead.

2021 was anything but an ordinary year for the Society for Self-Sufficiency, just as it was for every individual. Yet topics such as freedom and independence are moving more and more to the centre of interest and giving rise to new ideas and projects.

2021 – a brief summary

In the field of energy and technology, our work has drawn our attention to some promising projects. In most cases, however, a closer preliminary examination made it clear that it was either too early to commission a detailed inspection or that no agreement could be reached with the owner of the technology. We continue to follow developments in low-emission hydrogen production and, of course, generators based on permanent magnets.

Our partnership with the distributors of the InfinitySAV group in particular is still very promising. In the meantime, the hardware has been brought over from Korea and work on it is actively continuing. I can say that the tests already carried out with industrial standard components are promising. It is important to everyone involved to install as few custom components as possible.

In the field of health and nutrition, interest in the cell activator remains unbroken. The improvements to one’s own organism that can be achieved with it on one’s own initiative are impressive and valued by owners and therapists in many places.

In partnership with health adviser Birgit Hufnagl, a series of health impulses has been made available since the autumn, which will run into 2022. It remains highly interesting. We warmly invite interested members to publish their own activities on our platform.

In 2022 we want to launch a new edition for making silver water; preparations are already under way.

In the field of knowledge and education, we cooperate with free thinkers whose content we also regularly bring to wide attention. Whether Scholé or Ricardo Leppe, Wings or Bewegung 2020 – being networked in many directions is important here.

Current developments in society in particular are leading many people to question traditional mechanisms of education. Decisions for the good of our children must be made responsibly.

We also continue to make “alternative knowledge” available to interested educational institutions and want to expand this offer further.

In the field of economics and finance, we are happy to point out that Generation Grundeinkommen (Generation Basic Income) has now existed for 4 years. After some initial help from GAIA, Generation Grundeinkommen has grown up through the active work of Helmo Pape and his team and is doing intensive educational work in this field together with accredited scientists and studies.

Efforts in society to limit freedoms in the use of money and ever more transparent processes are fuelling the work of Generation Grundeinkommen.

Money as an important instrument is positive in itself, but its daily creation, its use and above all the liabilities resulting from it will continue to be commented on by Prof. Franz Hörmann in 2022, among other places here with us through his newsletters.

Thank you very much for your support

GAIA is and remains supported predominantly philanthropically by its members. We thank you warmly for this. It is particularly important to us in these difficult times. For the first time in several years, we are again pleased about a positive development – a modest 1% – in membership growth. This development supports our work and the maintenance of our technical infrastructure, and will surely soon make it possible to expand our activities further. We would particularly like to establish regional get-togethers again. Strengthening interpersonal connections regionally is an important concern for us.

Special thanks also go to all those who have supported our work through their personal, mostly unpaid commitment. THANK YOU for this, too!

I would describe our work within the Society for Self-Sufficiency as a mirror of many events in society. Like others, we experience hostility, attempts to discredit us, and time and again moments that have the potential to improve the world. It is a real emotional rollercoaster.

Personally, I hope that many people manage to experience the turn of the year calmly and free of panic. Because panic can lead to irrational decisions, which may then have lifelong consequences.

Of the people with us and around us, I wish that we remain pioneers. That, as such, we may make fools of ourselves, allow ourselves to fall down and get up again – but above all, that we continue to stand up together for freedom and independence.

We wish you a Merry Christmas and a good start to the New Year
