Resistance to questionable fearmongering, which is meant to justify restrictions of our fundamental rights,

brings together freedom-loving people who would otherwise probably never have met. That is how I came into contact with a committed young activist of the BEWEGUNG 2020 (Movement 2020). We exchanged thoughts and ideas for more than four hours. Today I would like to share with you the summary I wrote after our wonderful conversation.

Our current social order is based on competition and rivalry, which are nothing other than preliminary stages of war. The first casualty of a war, as is well known, is the truth. TRUTH has infinitely many facets that complement one another. That is why truth always brings peace: everyone has their own truth, but these many individual truths fit together like the pieces of a large jigsaw puzzle.

The lie, on the other hand, divides. It drives people apart and sets them against each other. It thrives best in a climate of fear. Wherever fears are spread and people are restricted in their freedom, lies, deception and manipulation are certainly at play. The corona crisis is the best example of this.

PEACE can only blossom among people who have learned to escape manipulation and to renounce every form of violence. They no longer let themselves be drawn into pointless disputes or seduced by lies which, disguised as care, make the people dependent. They stand by themselves and their truth without reservation and use peaceful means to ensure that everyone can live well and self-determined lives.

Peaceable people develop a comprehensive WE-consciousness that enables them to unite self-love with love of their neighbour: strengthened by happiness and joy in their own lives, they feel the need to place their individual abilities in the service of the greater whole. In doing so they perceive ever more clearly that they are embedded in a higher cosmic order that connects them with the source of all life in the universe.

That leaves the question: how do those in power manage again and again to get well-meaning people to give up their right to self-determination and submit to heteronomy without resistance?

Producing SUBjects through SUBjects at school and SUBstitute entertainment

That so many people in the current crisis willingly SUBmit even to obviously absurd official regulations is, in my view, due to the SUBservient spirit and the SCARCITY CONSCIOUSNESS that have been instilled in countless generations from childhood on

• by parents who give even a newborn the feeling that it would be more lovable if it drank “more nicely”, slept through the night and so on … in short, who unconsciously expect from the very beginning that babies should adapt to the needs of adults;
• by early-years educators who “raise” and classify the child according to standardised expectations: to what extent does it meet the benchmarks experts have set for its age group? “Where does it deviate from the norm in language, motor skills or social behaviour?”
• by teachers who are programmed to look for mistakes and, with a mixture of carrot and stick – motivation / punishment, praise / reprimand – have to “force-feed” a particular curriculum to the children, whatever the cost. Parents are expected to support this manipulation process called “education” as best they can;
• by an entertainment industry that sells people easily consumable substitute gratifications for their unmet basic needs. Entertainment distracts consumers from the deep pain of their unmet basic needs and makes them addicted to ever more distraction;
• by a society that measures and rewards a person’s value according to how willingly and how skilfully they adapt to the power games of business and politics – which is exactly what the school system trained them for;
• by religions whose power and prestige rest on providing worldly rulers with a moral cloak for the disenfranchisement of their “weak and sinful” subjects.

Fortunately, the proportion of empathetic parents and educators who raise children with love and respect for their personality, and thus soften the drill of our education system, is growing. The unschoolers are more radical: they have decided to replace the process of UPbringing, which always runs from top to bottom, with RELATIONSHIP at EYE LEVEL.

All the unschooling parents I know have gone through a process of self-discovery that has made them aware of who they are and what they themselves would really have needed as children. This insight enables them to perceive the true needs of their children as well and to respect them as best they can from birth. Trustingly, they assume that everything a child needs to fulfil its individual life task is already present within it.

In this way, unschooled children can practise a self-determined life from the very beginning. They are allowed to sleep in, move to their heart’s content, try out their abilities playfully, choose their own friends and mentors, learn whatever interests them at the moment… accompanied by attentive parents who grow along with their children, that is, unfold their own emotional and spiritual potential. In parents of schoolchildren, by contrast, one can often observe how they fall back into old fears and feel and behave like pupils themselves again.

Thanks to my encounter with the unschoolers, I have become crystal clear about THE INVISIBLE STRUCTURAL VIOLENCE that runs through our education system – and consequently our entire social system. They have proved to me that human beings are by no means weak and sinful by nature, as our secular and spiritual shepherds and teachers have been telling their flocks for thousands of years in order to set themselves up as their protectors and turn them into obedient subjects!

In children who live freely and learn through play, I was able to observe that love, understanding and freedom really are the best way for a child to develop into a self-confident, responsible, wise, compassionate, cooperative and capable adult. The countless educational models, pedagogical measures, tricks and expert opinions I had grappled with until then faded into grey theories in the light of these experiences…

What do we need to succeed in the evolutionary step from HETERONOMY to SELF-DETERMINATION?

• Gratitude for all the rights of freedom that the generations before us fought for:
  • The right to vote for men, the right to vote for women.
  • The right to contractually secured wages, sick pay and pensions. The right of women to study and work even without the consent of their father or husband.
  • The right of young men to do civilian service instead of military service.
  • New possibilities of information and networking thanks to the internet. For the first time, whistleblowers were able to make covert warfare and criminal structures visible to everyone.
• Facing up to the tasks of our generation:
  • Unlocking our inner resources by overcoming a reductionist materialism.
  • Educational freedom through the abolition of compulsory schooling.
  • The right of every human being to the free development of their individual potential, that is, of their unique physical, emotional and SPIRITUAL gifts.
  • Exposing the lies, deception and propaganda of the ruling elites.
  • Abolishing the debt-money system.
  • An end to the exploitation of people and nature: an unconditional claim of every living being to its fair share of the Earth’s resources.
  • Protection of soil life, water, air, fauna, flora and landscape as a shared task for the human family.

In past centuries it often took a very long time for a new consciousness to prevail. But the general acceleration of modern life now seems to have caught up even with time itself. As people with multidimensional consciousness confirm, the change is already in full swing. And despite all the upheavals that will still be necessary to shake the many sleepers awake, it can no longer be stopped.
