The world applauds. We can already hear the next symphony.

The world applauds. We can already hear the next symphony.

Congratulations from Holger Thorsten Schubart on behalf of all employees, the entire scientific advisory board and the research community of the Neutrino Energy Group.

There are days when a scientific achievement is honoured – and a whole field of research shines more brightly in humanity’s awareness.

Today is such a day.

On behalf of our entire community, I warmly congratulate Francis Halzen on the 2026 Nobel Prize in Physics. This extraordinary honour recognises his decisive contributions to the IceCube Neutrino Observatory and to the discovery of high-energy neutrinos of astrophysical origin.

These congratulations come from people who are themselves working towards an ambitious vision of the future: from our colleagues, our scientific advisory board and everyone who brings intellect, perseverance and courage to our research.

We know what it means to take the invisible seriously. To carry an idea forward while others are still asking why it deserves attention at all. To work for years towards a horizon that some only recognise when the spotlight reaches it.

Today the spotlight of the Nobel Prize is on neutrino research. We gave this field a place in our vision of the future long ago.

Science as a great orchestra

For us, science is a great orchestra of discoveries. Across nations, institutions and generations, distinct voices emerge: particle physics, materials science, mathematics, artificial intelligence and engineering.

Each voice has its own rank. Some receive a Nobel Prize. Others work far from the big stage. Together, their achievements can open up possibilities that no discipline could unlock on its own.

Our overarching vision embraces this larger composition. In individual discoveries we can already hear the possibility of a new technological symphony.

We have long been convinced that neutrinos would continue to change the scientific imagination – and that this field will help shape the future.

Today the world applauds

We join in this applause. With respect. With joy. And with the conviction that carried us when this horizon still seemed distant to many.

We welcome the attention the world is giving today. We have long been convinced that there is something great to discover here.

Neutrinovoltaics is our own technological research project within this wider horizon. Our vision gives this project its direction: bringing discoveries together, opening up new possibilities and turning them into a contribution to humanity’s future.

Professor Halzen, your perseverance and your scientific leadership have opened another window onto the universe. For this achievement you have our deep respect and our heartfelt congratulations.

The applause of this day belongs to you.
Our shared passion belongs to science.
And our gaze is turned to the horizon, where the next great symphony is just beginning.
