Neutrinovoltaics – field test in Austria
Neutrinovoltaics® and first details of the field test in Austria
At the Schneider Congress “Epochale Technologien zur Energiewende” (Epochal technologies for the energy transition) on 17/18 June near Stuttgart, we had the opportunity to meet Holger Thorsten Schubart at the GAIA stand for a short interview. Later we discussed the Neutrinovoltaic® field test in more detail. We would like to thank him warmly for the cooperation and the promising prospects that arise from it.

Key facts on the Neutrinovoltaic® field test
Besides recording our conversation, we also used the time to discuss the next joint steps for the first planned field test in Europe. This field test is to show the practical application of neutrinovoltaics® in daily life – above all among end consumers.

How long will the field test last?
To put the devices under sufficiently intensive load in normal operation, the duration of the Neutrinovoltaic® field test is set at 6 to 9 months.
Where can the Power Cube be placed?
The pre-series Cube can stand inside a building or flat in any dry place – e.g. safely in the basement. Access to light or other external energy sources is not required. The only thing to note is the required internet connection for monitoring via LAN cable to the router.
What does it cost to take part in the Neutrinovoltaic® field test?
The pre-series Cubes remain the property of Neutrino® Energy and are provided to participants free of charge. The entire amount of energy generated can be used free of charge by each participant in off-grid operation.
Whether a contribution towards professional installation will be charged is still open.
Safety notes
Accredited participants in the Neutrinovoltaic® field test are obliged to handle the pre-series Cube with care and sign a corresponding declaration on installation / handover.
Neutrino® Energy entrusts participants with a technically functional pre-series Cube with revolutionary properties. Everyone involved is aware of this expression of trust and treats the pre-series Cube accordingly.
Liability notes
The participant is fully liable for damage of any kind caused by the participant or by unauthorised third parties and – where negligence or wilfulness is evident – is liable for damages. Once this becomes known, the participant will also be excluded from the rest of the test and the pre-series Cube will be uninstalled.
Communication notes
For the entire duration of the Neutrinovoltaic® field test, all participants are obliged to maintain absolute confidentiality towards third parties – in particular towards the press and online portals. An agreement will be signed to this effect.
Once the evaluation of the Neutrinovoltaic® field test has been fully published, everyone is of course welcome to talk to interested people as much as they like.
The strict rule is above all for the protection of the participants. The aim is to avoid unnecessary disputes during the test period. Participants regard the Neutrinovoltaic® field test as an extraordinary, unique opportunity and are part of a unique group of pioneers of the energy transition.
Monitoring of the Neutrinovoltaic® field test
The Neutrinovoltaic® field test is to deliver meaningful data. That is why regular on-site checks will be carried out by appointed assessors.
Every participant is also expected to take part in online monitoring. Data is to be collected and transmitted in as standardised a way as possible and regularly at very short intervals, in order to obtain a reliable overall picture across all pre-series Cubes.
Can the energy be fed into the grid?
No, the Neutrino® Power Cube is a power generator designed for off-grid operation and is not designed for grid-parallel operation. Unauthorised modifications after the Cube has been connected constitute an act giving rise to liability for damages.
Can the Neutrino® Power Cube be kept after the test?
The Neutrinovoltaic® field test is carried out with so-called “zero-series sample devices” – i.e. prototypes. These must be returned at the end of the field test. The pre-series Cubes cannot be kept.
As a thank-you, participants in the Neutrinovoltaic® field test will be given preferential treatment when series devices are released at the official market launch, and will receive a fine and unique certificate of participation from us.
How many Cubes will Neutrino® Energy provide for the Neutrinovoltaic® field test?
For the Neutrinovoltaic® field test to be representative, the number of pre-series Cubes provided by Neutrino® Energy is expected to be 100 to 120 devices.
Who can take part?
Participation is open to all GAIA members whose local conditions are suitable. These are still being worked out in detail. In general, we can already state the three most important requirements:
- Off-grid operation (own consumption of up to 5 kW) must be possible
- An internet connection on site for central (anonymous) monitoring
- Installation at an address in Austria that is easily accessible for an installation team
Anyone who meets these requirements can apply in the call for applications that will be published shortly. Subscribe to the newsletter to follow information on the Neutrinovoltaic® field test. Not yet with GAIA? We are happy to welcome new members.
The final decision on participation lies with Neutrino® Energy, and the group will be representatively mixed.
We hope this gives you a first outlook on the upcoming field test, and we look forward to the next planning steps, which we will communicate centrally as soon as possible.
